Overview

NexPoint manages four publicly traded real estate investment trusts (REITs) with strategies that cover a number of real estate asset classes. NexPoint’s public REITs include: NexPoint Residential Trust, Inc., which focuses on multifamily properties; NexPoint Hospitality Trust, which focuses on hospitality assets; NexPoint Diversified Real Estate Trust, which focuses on investing among various commercial real estate property types; and NexPoint Real Estate Finance, Inc., which focuses on commercial mortgages.

NexPoint Residential Trust

(NYSE:NXRT)

NexPoint Residential Trust, Inc. is an externally advised, publicly traded REIT, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker NXRT.

NXRT is focused on the acquisition, asset management, and disposition of multifamily assets. The REIT pursues investments in class A and B multifamily real estate property located primarily in the Southeast United States and Texas. Properties typically have a value-add component, where we can invest capital to provide lifestyle amenities to workforce housing. Our value-add strategy seeks to enhance the living environment for our residents, while maximizing returns for our shareholders.

NXRT is externally advised by NexPoint Real Estate Advisors, L.P., an adviser on the NexPoint platform.

NexPoint Diversified Real Estate Trust

(NYSE:NXDT)

NexPoint Diversified Real Estate Trust (“NXDT”) is an externally advised diversified real estate investment trust (“REIT”), with its shares of common stock and 5.50% Series A Cumulative Preferred Shares listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbols NXDT and NXDT-PA, respectively. As a diversified REIT, NXDT’s primary investment objective is to provide both current income and capital appreciation.

NXDT seeks to achieve this objective by investing among various commercial real estate property types and across the capital structure, including but not limited to mortgage debt, mezzanine debt and common and preferred equity. Target underlying property types primarily include but are not limited to industrial, hospitality, net lease, retail, office, storage and healthcare and, to the extent currently owned, multifamily and single-family rentals. NXDT also may, to a limited extent, hold, acquire or transact in certain non-real estate securities.

NexPoint Real Estate Finance

(NYSE:NREF)

NexPoint Real Estate Finance, Inc. is a publicly traded commercial mortgage REIT listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the symbol NREF.

NREF is focused on originating, structuring, and investing in a range of a range of commercial real estate financing opportunities, including: first mortgage loans; mezzanine loans; preferred equity; alternative structured financings in commercial real estate properties; and multifamily commercial mortgage backed securities.

NREF primarily pursues investments in areas where NexPoint’s real estate team has operating expertise, including in the multifamily, single-family rental, self-storage, hospitality and office sectors, with a geographical focus in the top 50 metropolitan statistical areas.

NREF is sponsored by NexPoint Advisors, L.P., a registered investment adviser on the NexPoint platform, and externally managed by NexPoint Real Estate Advisors VII, L.P., a subsidiary of the sponsor.

NexPoint Hospitality Trust

(TSXV:NHT.U)

NexPoint Hospitality Trust is a publicly traded REIT focused on acquiring and maintaining hospitality assets in the United States. Assets primarily consist of select service and extended stay hotel properties; however, the REIT will also pursue select upscale and midscale full-service properties on an opportunistic basis. The REIT is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) under the ticker symbol NHT.U.

NHT aims to add value through strategic capital expenditures and repositioning, brand and management changes, and revenue and expense management.

The REIT provides Canadian investors with an opportunity to gain exposure to U.S. hospitality assets, while providing the potential for attractive dividend yield with total return.
